    Most of mine are just in pots around the back tap... that way I remember to water them

    I have the tomato plant, rosemary and lavender in self-watering pots so i only need to top the water up every few days.. It seems to be working so far though I'm trying to be careful and monitor them as I don't want to over-water..

    I don't think it will be much longer until the spring onions are ready? I can see white stems down at the soil so I'm only guessing the bulbs are coming up? Should the bulbs raise to the surface of the soil when they are ready to pull out and eat?
