A really good friend of mine met me for dinner for my birthday and it 'just happened' that her friend (and her ex lol) was around and she joined us for dinner. She set us up! And DP was in on it as well
I still thank her for it ;-)

At a pub. I asked if I could hide behind him cos I'd just had some little 20yo punk be really rude to me and I was a little upset (though not crying). I didn't expect any conversation but he struck one up and the rest as they say is history :-)

I hadn't noticed him before but apparently he'd had his eye on me since I walked in so he jumped at the chance to talk :-)

I don't have a partner but the best story I know of is a friend of mine who met her husband via a group email..!

We met working at Woolies as teenagers... When i started there, he was really shy so I just thought he was one of the "cool kids" who didn't want any more friends... Then I made friends with his friends, and then him and realised he was just super shy. He was so shy that he used to get so nervous around me that he'd vomit pretty much every time we were together - super romantic hahaha!! It took him about 4-5 months of us dating to stop vomiting every time we were together :-P thankfully, 7 years later he's over that and we've now been married for a year and are expecting a bub in February :-)
