Default What are your experiences with expressing colostrum

Hi there Because I have gestational diabetes, I've been told to express colostrum for bub in case he needs it for his blood sugar. I've done it for most of the last week and am getting a nice little stockpile going, but I was curious if any of you had any experiences with this to share. I'm especially curious if expressing induced labor for anyone. I'm 35 weeks, btw.

    TIA

I expressed (just in case) before both births. Luckily never needed to use it, but was great to know if anything went wront during the birth my babies would always get their colostrum no matter what.

Expressing did most DEFINITELY start labour for my 2nd baby, but that was at 40+2. Baby won't come till their ready, but the expressing definitely gave my labour a kick start.
