    Default AAAAHHHHH.Fashion help needed!

DP started a job earlier this year as a project manager in a multi national company. He just rang to say that we have their Christmas breakup in 2 weeks. I am panicking already.
I am overweight (size 20) and have completely lost any style I once had. So where can I find a dress to suit me, that doesn't cost the earth, and if online will be delivered in a week.
I don't even know where to start with hair and make up. I spend my days in jeans and t shirts with no make up and hair in a pony tail. I feel so out of my depth.
All the other wives work and are slim and pretty and interesting (in my head anyway, I haven't actually met any of them yet) and I'm a fat, old, dowdy SAHM.
Please help me, I am already freaking out!

Do you even want to go?
    I cbf with work parties.
DH has his this weekend too, and rather than sweat it like you are now (which I would totally be for all the same reasons) he knows not to even ask me anymore.

If you do want to go
ASOS online do a huge variety of dress styles.
Their delivery service is pretty fast too, you'd definitely get
    your order in time.

This is pretty, but I'm not sure if you're a legs in or legs out person

Oooh thanks. Both are gorgeous, but I really love the floral one.
I don't really want to go, after looking after 4 children all day, dinner with a load of people I don't know doesn't really appeal! Unfortunately its expected with his new job.
Thanks for looking for the dresses, I didn't even know where to start!

I think that confidence is key, if you feel good in what you're wearing it doesn't mater what size you are. I put on weight and for months after DD was born I was not happy with the way I looked so I just kept wearing the same old stuff and wouldn't bother with make up then I thought to myself who cares I might never get back to size 8 and that's ok I can still look good... followed by a shopping spree :-)
My point is go if you want to go, don't worry about the other women they're not perfect! For your dress try usa sites like Macy's then always have a choice for fast delivery and you'll find bigger sizes easily and with some nice style, then book in at the hairdresser and get the works, mani pedi Hair and get them to do your make up too so you don't have to worry about it.

Crossroads have a variety of sizes and styles plus often have specials. Plus book in to get your hair and make-up done. Make a night if it for you & DH. No kids, no dishes and enjoy your time together. The other wives may not be "clicky" so you may meet new friends.
