Default Behaviour and development issues? Ask an expert!!

    Hi everyone!

Thanks for helping us with questions for our TV show!

We've got another episode in the pipeline all about Behaviour and Development.

If you've got a question for our experts on the topic please ask them here.

    Things like:

    Sibling rivalry, parenting different children.

My child is still NOT saying alphabet etc (language development question).

what to do about hitting/biting behaviour etc

    attention seeking behaviour

not sure about what type of discipline is OK? Is time-out oK?

    tidying up!

    bad language

    surviving school holidays

games to help learning and development

    raising older children!

    Thanks in advance!!

Ok, I'll bite the bullet and get it going.

How to get a 7 year old to be more confident and outgoing. Dd1 is generally well behaved but doesn't stand up for herself and is scared of speaking up. She seems to get along with older kids or younger kids but doesn't seem to have many friends her own age, maybe 3 or 4. She is NOT interested in any sports at all, so trying get her to join a sports team is impossible. She is also very emotionally sensitive.

    Ball is officially rolling.

    Hi,

I have a 14 mo who has been walking for a few months now. He wants to walk everywhere which is fine, but I need to teach him to hold my hand and not run off, but also want him to be able to be "free" at the park to enjoy himself and not feel that he has to stay next to me (but not too far away either). Any tips for teaching this and getting a good balance too? Thanks

ETA: He is quite shy with new people and places too so I want to encourage him to be confident too.
