Default What do you do for stress?

I'm a massive stress head... It's definately getting worse with age and I'm getting to the point where it is really affecting my life and I want to do something about it.
Before having DS I had a highly stressful job and thought that this was the cause of all my stress, but since leaving work 1.5 years ago I've found that I just stress about everything.

So I'm wondering what others do to treat stress and anxiety and get it under control? Has anyone tried any natural medicines, acupuncture, etc?

    TIA x

When I'm stressed I go for a ride on my daughters horse. It helps me relax, unwind and calm down.

I can't do that atm because I'm 23 weeks pregnant but I plan on going once bub is born.

Also getting a massage or a facial help too.

Yoga is great. I'm getting back into it after a break.

Running, yoga, bath with a cup of chamomile. Or just closing my eyes, relaxing my face and taking lots of a deep breaths.

Rescue Remedy I find to be fantastic too. A lot of people scoff at it but it really a works for me.

I looooove massages and facials but find the stress-relief of them short-lived and can't really afford to have them as often as I'd like.

Have also just started going back to the gym so hoping this will help too! They do yoga classes so might need try to do them as a regular thing.

I'm a fan of acupuncture. Whilst I believe that acupuncture does work for me sometimes also just knowing that I get an hour to myself is nice too. So in that regards a facial/massage would also help me de-stress.

Exercise! I find boxing, a good long run, or body pump really help me, especially as its high intensity.

Yoga and Pilates are also really good to relax and unwind.

Reading a good book, listening to music, meditation (just lying there with music consciously thinking about breathing, and relaxing my muscles), playing music.

Another one is just getting out of the house/stressful environment and going for a walk, or to the park.

I am similar OP, I find myself getting stressed when I don't have anything real to be stressed about (I.e I'm supposed to be on holidays, but am finding myself more anxious because I have nothing to do), and its taken me years to find things that work.

I've had to learn to ask for help when I need it. With housework or even just DP have DS for the day while I go out.
