    Default Songs your kids love

I'm wanting some songs for DD. She is getting a cd player for christmas and wanting to put together a cd of songs that I wouldn't normally think of. The types of songs she is liking that are not main ****** kid songs are like 'Here comes the sun little darlin' by the bealtes. So I don't mind what era its from as long as it's ok for kids, catchy (5yr old will like it) and possibly a nice message

2 year old DS loves ( a mixture of my mums and my 8 year old nieces iPod as mum minds them both every Monday and Wednesday !

    Yellow submarine (Beatles)
Benny and the jets ( Elton John)
    Silly love songs (Paul McCartney)
    Radio GaGa (queen)
    Moves like jagger (Maroon 5)
    Gangnam style (psy)
    Born this way (lady gaga)

We were at SIL house for dinner Saturday night and DS will just be playing and then just start singing "Benny - Benny - Benny and the jets"
    It was hilarious

I'm not much help, DS's favourite album is Lenny Kravitz's greatest hits.

Gangnam style gets played here A LOT!!

They also love Bon jovi - particularly they're latest 'best of' its a double cd.

They go nuts for 'devil went down to Georgia', the new one by train '50 ways to say goodbye', matchbox twenty 'she's so mean', jet 'are you gonna be my girl?', qwote 'throw your hands up', 'good time' owl city, 'moves like jagger' maroon 5, 'I like how it feels' Enrique Iglesias.

Our kids listen to some really diverse music, mainly because DH and I are big music fans and always have something playing.

DD1 used to go to sleep listening to System of a Down when she was a toddler and this year got very upset because I went to their concert without her! She is 10

We have DSD age 11, DD1 age 10, DSS age 8 (and a newborn DD who so far hasn't shown any musical preference haha!) and they like the following:
    The Beatles
    Queen
    SOAD
    Pink
    Lady Gaga
    Katy Perry
    Shakira
    Bon Jovi
    Buried In Verona
    Green Day
    Serj Tankian
    Frenzal Rhomb
    Drop kick Murphy's

There is more but these are the ones that first came to mind.

Not that your dd will like it but DS favorite song is that hotdog song from Mickey mouse clubhouse. It gets stuck in my head every time!!!!
