    Default What would you do in my situation!?

    Are your children Australian citizens? I would imagine that would have an impact on what needs to happen in terms of their father signing them away?

    Not yet waiting on Immigration's decision still can take up to 2 years then we will be residents then have to wait another 2 years to apply for citizenship I guess I should start a new thread not derail this one any further

    In that case then you'd have to check the laws on adoption in America as they are still American citizens and that is their country of birth, I imagine Australian law will only come in to it once they are Australian citizens.
