Hi I'm almost 34 weeks and about to start taking raspberry leaf tablets and evening primrose tablets. Couple of ?s.....
When is best time to take them (as in how far along) and how many do I take?

Has anyone used these with success in inducing labour or having an easier birth etc??? Thanks

RLT should actually be taken all the time, it's really good for you! I drank the tea and contrary to what I just said started around 34 weeks from memory. The EPO tablets are you taking them orally or inserting them?

I think taking them with DD made my cx very powerful her labour was half that of my labour before that. My first labour was augmented (had my waters broken early on) so I wont compare it to that one.

I started raspberry leaf tablets at 30 weeks, I had a fantastic short labour with my first contractions were extremely effective and after 2 pushes (approx. 5mins) from the time i was ready to push, he was born

Raspberry leaf helps your uterus prepare for good, strong contractions. Many women say that it helped them have a faster birth because the contractions were so effective.

EPL helps soften and ripen the cervix ready for labour.

    Many midwives recommend them.

I have just started drinking raspberry leaf tea at thirty weeks pregnant. I also drank when pregnant with my two kids. My labours were quite fast with very effective contractions.
raspberry leaf will not induce labour, it is used to strengthen and tone the uterus for labour.

I took Raspberry Leaf tea tablets with both pregnancies at about 33-34 weeks, Took 4 a day, and increased to 6 after 36 weeks.

I had the first in 6hrs.
The second in 5hrs with a 7min pushing period.

My DH fully believes the Raspberry leaf had something to do with it, and couldn't wait to get me on them the second time round. He bought me the tablets and the tea.

I had nothing with DD and was induced.. With DS I drink 2 cups of raspberry leaf tea from 35 weeks (started at 30 weeks but got really strong BH so midwife told me to stop) and had an 8 hour labor and punched twice!!
With this bub I will be taking and inserting evening primrose oil at 36 weeks and drinking raspberry leaf tea from 32 weeks...
