    Default Absolute quickest, low effort healthy recipes ideas

    I am soo over cooking, I am 38 weeks pg and after working all day the LAST thing I want to do is cook.

    Looking for inspiration for healthy quick meals, toddler friendly (they aren't picky though).

    I am talking ABSOLUTE LOW EFFORT / NOT MENTALLY CHALLENGING ie the level of baked beans on toast lol.

    Salad and a meat lol
    Roast chook is even easier as you don't have to cook that

    Get a packet of Creamy Bacon Carbonara pasta.

    Cook it as per instructions on packet.

    Stir through a big tin of tuna and a big tin of corn kernels once cooked.

    Delish!

    For something a little different try Hianese Chicken rice. It's in a packet in the Asian isle at woollies.

    Put the rice, water and packet mix in a saucepan, place chicken on top of rice, lid on, bring to boil then turn to simmer for 15 mins. Serve with slices of tomato and cucumber and soy on the side of you like. Easy and I had 3 kids eat it and ask for more last night. 😃

    Wholemeal pita bread with tomatoe sauce, ham, spinach (a whole packet! - wilted) and cheese on top. Oven for 10 mins. A fav of both I and my 19 month old!!!!!

    While it's so hideously hot, I am just doing big platters of strips of capsicum, cucumber, carrot, cherry toms, celery, strips of ham, whatever is cold and in the fridge and some little pots of sour cream or mashed up avocado for dipping - preschooler heaven and very easy.

    I do a lot of super quick prep, chunk it in oven and come back and serve meals like...

    Honey soy/ BBQ (marinated) chicken pieces with roast veg

    Country fried (baked) chicken and veg

    Casseroles/stews

    Sausages and roast veg (yep even good old snags get baked in this house)

    Stir Fry's

    Lots of slower cooker stuff

    Soups

    Veggie fritters

    mini quiche (my kids go crazy for them)

    mini pizza using toast or pita bread as the base.

    Homemade saugage rolls

    What do have and I see what I can come up with.

    My DH hasn't, and we have been together 11 years, it can be a woeful experience some nights! Lol 😁 but he still tries.
