Default TTC bub #1 but PCOS making it difficult- 1st round of Clomid

Hey everyone, I hope you don't mind if I butt in.. I went through this journey 2-3 years ago and have a healthy little boy, now age 1. I just wanted to say don't give up!
Also, get insulin levels checked.. I found clomid didn't work by itself for me but when I threw metformin into the mix I fell pregnant after 3 rounds of clomid.

Ava - I hope you get a BFP in the next day or so. Your progesterone looked really good!! I haven't had many side effects this time with 100mg clomid. Just a little bit of pain over where my ovaries would be, but not too uncomfortable. One tablet got stuck in my throat yesterday which tasted really gross.....as far as tablets go to take, they aren't the best!

Default TTC bub #1 but PCOS making it difficult- 1st round of Clomid

I'm way to scared to test yet. I'm going to try and wait til Friday, that's if af doesn't show. I had some slight cramps yesterday, but no af.
Hahha that happened to me too Sophs, when i had to take three tablets one after the after and mind was saying 'and swallow...and swallow now....swallow would be good right about now', but I just couldn't do it and the tablet sat at the back of my throat, I thought I was going to throw up it tasted so disgusting, really got myself into a state!

Default TTC bub #1 but PCOS making it difficult- 1st round of Clomid

Girls I have officially got my first ever BFP!!!! I tested this morning and I still just can't believe it!
I just thought will all the side effects I got from doing 150mgs clomid that it wouldn't work.
I don't feel too different, just sore nipples and still light on off cramps, and my temp is really high.
I'm going to test again tomorrow, just to make sure I didn't get a dud test. I'll prob do another tonight, who am I kidding!

Congratulations Ava 2602!!! I was very glad to see your BFP posted. Have you been back to the doctor yet?

I am up to day 9 of my 100mg cycle and it seems to be working way better this month. Had good blood results yesterday and then ultrasound today showed I had a few 9mm follicles on the left, but one bigger 14mm follicle on the right which is pretty good for day 9 i think. I just hope it keeps on growing!

How is your cycle going Nirok?

I have an appt with the FS tomorrow for blood test to confirm and see my levels. Fingers crossed it looks good.
14mm on day 9 looks really promising, I usually had scans on cd12, and then again on cd 16. On 150mgs clomid they were able to pin point ovulation for me to two days, which made it so much easier and less stressful. When is your next scan Sophs?
100mgs did work for me, but not until cd 35!

My next blood test is in two days time and then a blood test and ultrasound in 4 days time. They give me lots of them. I have the first one on day 8 and then every few days till i've ovulated (or not ovulated as the case has been so far!) I'm at pretty high risk of multiples so they like to confirm its not going to be the case with ultrasounds. Do you go to an actually fertility place for your scans and blood tests or just to a regular pathology place?

Ah right so your all sorted and well monitored. This month seems positive, let me know how your blood test goes.
I see fertility specialist, at qld fertility group.
Got my blood test tomorrow confirm and check levels, little nervous.
