That's what I love about my thermomix, gives me 20-30min meals with very little interaction from me!

Default School taking kids to McDonald's for lunch--I'm dumbfounded!

Thanks for the info CTM. I had no idea they were going backwards.
I wonder if the whole fast food industry is going backwards too?

I seriously think the only thing that schools can do is have stuff like this in theur policy - so parents can decide if they want to send their children to that school or another. My DS's long daycare centre gave me surveys to fill out at the start of the year about excursions - what is acceptable/unacceptable etc etc. not sure you can do this in schools though as you can't really treat some kids to maccas while the others sit in the park with sandwiches...!

Seriously though, if this happened when I was a kid my parents wouldn't have blinked an eyelid, it wouldn't have been an issue, and my mum is a massive healthy food nut. Parents back then just didn't fuss and worry so much about everything like parents now.

They are losing out to other chains who have introduced more contemporary ranges, if Meccas had a clue they would improve their fresh choices etc not just lower their standard even further
It's kinda like eating cardboard...fried cardboard. Probably just as nutritional, too.

We didn't have issues with obesity when we were kids... Yet we still had maccas around.
Oh but look at type 2 diabetes in our generation as adults...

From people who eat too much junk food.... But that wasn't the point I was making. I didn't say our parents generation thought it was fine to eat maccas every week... I said they wouldn't have kicked up a stink if we had it once in a while, let alone once a year as in the OP.

i am soooo over this topic and going around in circles - I give up, going to watch bones.
