Default 19.5weeks and loosing amniotic fluid. :(

Hi I had the same leak as you at around 24 weeks and my first two docs that I saw didn't even diagnose me as having pprom (premature rupture of membrane sometimes known as hindwater leak). I was lucky I started off with the occassional leak/trickle/gush. Fluid was always clear and cervix was nice and closed. Eventually I was put on antibiotics and told to watch for signs of infection and if that happens to go straight to the hospital. Regardless I lasted till 31 weeks (where I continued working/living life etc) before I had a fever and general feeling of unwell. My hospital transferred me straight to the mater who kept me in observing and exactly on 32 weeks the infection (corrio) finally set in and they delivered my boy then and there. He's actually doing really well and came out breathing on his own and generally is very good

    Some tips I guess is:
Take your temp every day. If it hits 37.5 or above go straight to the hospital.

If your discharge is spotting/green/smells - straight to hospital

If you just don't feel well too no harm bringing yourself to the hospital.

Find out if your hospital can manage your baby if he comes out early. My original hospital could only manage 34 weeks and above so they told me if problems arise earlier than that that I was to go straight to the mater which was a tertiary hospital that could take care of infants 24 weeks onwards.

Don't worry abt the actual leakage as your baby will regenerate more (everytime they pee) so don't stress about that

Good luck and msg me privately if you want to chat.

There is a lady who was pregnant with twins that this happened too? She ended up having bubs early but they are ok. I am on my phone so can't find the link

I hope you & bubs are ok.

Thank you all. Well I am in a rural area (with no ob's) but the dr I recently saw "thinks" it may have been a cyst... A cyst that has never appeared on any of my scans. I am however going to the nearest city OB Monday to see a private ob to find out more and run a few more tests. I haven't lost much more just a trickle here and there. Then scan showed my cervix was shut and bub was doing really well. So the drs here are stumped, the hospital won't help me because I am under 23weeks pregnant so my only option is to travel to the city (1.5hrs away) which I am busting to do. The OB gets back Monday so is seeing me then. If worst comes I will be flown to Brisbane mater (where my daughter was born and I have a special bond with a great OB there) will be letting you know how it goes. Pretty stressful.

Thank you all for your advice, thoughts and experience.
