Default Sharp pain - oxytocin or thrush?

After bf, I get sharp pains thru my breast - sometimes they only last a few minutes and other times it'll go on for 1/2 hour or so. It started in my left breast but now the right one is a bit painful too. DS is nearly 4 weeks old, feeding well and growing like a weed. Just wondering if this pain warrants a trip to the doctors?

Default Sharp pain - oxytocin or thrush?

My DS is 6.5 months & I get this too although it was worse at the beginning than it is now. Mine was like a shooting spot pain mostly straight down the middle. I never went to the Dr about it but did mention it to my CAFHS nurse who didn't seem too worried about it. It has lessened now but I do get it from time to time. I would be interested to know too if its some kind of condition or just a part of BF'ing

I was just looking over the ABA & came across a segment on nipple vasospasm (sp?) - I'm on my phone & don't know how to share the link sorry. But definitely something to look at. Thinking this is what it has been for me!

I had nipple vasospasm!!! All i can say is

Mine was caffine related, as caffine also restricts blood flow..... i stopped drinking my 5 cups per day and it got better. in extreme cold its kinda there but no where near as bad i was on the verge of tears everytime i feed my DS
