Default Mucous plug or bloody show?

I'm 39 weeks on Sunday and I just went to have a shower and noticed a blob of jelly like stuff with blood in it in my undies. Is this the mucous plug or bloody show? What's the difference!?

I thought it was the same thing. I never got it with either of my 2. But sounds like it from what I have heard about it.

I always thought they were the same. It sounds like it could be.

So I've been to my weekly hospital midwife app and she said its pretty much the same thing! Well done you well informed ladies.

She said generally if it's bloody it means the cervix is changing, and also means I could go into labour when ever!

    Yay!

Oooo good luck to you all too!

I'm off to my husbands gig at a fancy pub so fingers crossed it all happens after! Not during!

I've had some contractions that have some light crampy pain with it. But they seem quite far apart!

The eldest son is off to his dads and the one year old is at his nannys just in case
