    Default Would you invite someone you don't like to your wedding to keep the peace?

    Mind you, this is coming from someone who offended heaps of people with their wedding invites because we were so harsh with who we didn't invite. But I would invite partners personally.

    I would if it were a closely-related family member. Like SIL, who I absolutely loathe.

    I wouldn't ever do it to keep a friend happy. Well, if I just didn't like them I might, but I wouldn't invite someone I actually disliked, if that makes sense. If they were a jerk, then they could get stuffed, I don't care who they're sleeping with. They shouldn't be a jerk if they want to be invited.

    It all sounds too complicated though, so I'm just not bothering. If we ever marry, I'm just doing it away from everyone so I don't have to cater to annoying demanding whingy guests, or spend a fortune on a day that might be ruined by jerk guests.
