Contact Catholic Family Services or Human Services in your state.

i adopted out a child 12 years ago. He is loved and cherished and is in a fantastic family. I could not have wished more for him. It is an open adoption.

I'm sorry you have to deal with the situation though. Please pm me if you would like to know more information about the process etc

    Default Open adoption in Perth?

I am in Queensland and hoping to adopt a child after many failed ivf cycles. Please do not feel pressure to adopt your children. You can get support from community groups. Please consider how you will cope emotionally if you adopt your children. I am here if you want to talk. Xo

    Default Open adoption in Perth?

I agree, I think it would be best for you (and your mental health) to speak to a social worker to outline all your options.

If you are 100% set on adoption, that's wonderful. You will be giving someone a beautiful gift.

If you are having any doubts about adoption, it needs to be addressed. There is a lot of support out there for single mums.

What do your husbands parents think of this? If they are in the scene perhaps they could help you? You are carrying their grandchildren after all.

    Good luck xx

Congratulations on your pregnancy, and I'm so sorry about the extremely difficult situation you're in.

I'm by no means an expert, but I'm in Perth and looked into adopting so I can just tell you what I found out.

All adoptions in WA are open. They're done through Department of Child Protection (even if you go through a church group or private agency, the adoption will still ultimately go through DCP). You can place the babies into Pre-adoptive care while you decide whether you'd definitely like to go through with it. Pre-adoptive care can last up to two years. Your children are Australian citizens so you would be able to place them for adoption if you choose to.

Your ex-husband can NOT force you to terminate.

If you choose to keep your babies, there are lots of support services around to help you.

I hope I answered some of your questions. I wish you every bit of luck with your decision.
I cannot imagine how hard it would be to decide whether to give your children up for adoption, but I know how truly grateful and honoured a family would feel to be granted the chance to adopt them if that is the choice you make.

Sending you love and strength, and I hope you find the decision that is right for you and your babies- whatever it may be xxx

Hello baby miracle, how are you going with everything? Have you had a good outcome?
I have never met you but often wonder how you are.
