Not me but my aunt paid $800 each for her 2 English Staffies. The breeder was recommended to her by her vet.

I got my boy out the Trading Post from a backyard breeder 😱 and he cost me $195, he was advertised as a Maltese x ****zu but is actually a Westie x ****zu and way cuter!

He also won a comp 5 years ago to be the face of natures gift dog food and won 2 years worth of food and $400, so he's definitely paid for himself and worth it.

Plus no medical issues at all other than major separation anxiety which I've been told is common with Westies.

I got my border collie for free from my sister who was a registered breeder. It cost her over 500 for the compulsory DNA/genetic tests for each puppy. They test for a heap of genetic disorder now before the pups can be sold.

Both my boys were from the pound so I think between $300-$400.

I used to have a German Shepherd who cost $1000 from a registered breeder.

    $800 from a registered breeder.

If you want a staffy the shelters are full of them, I'm sure you will find one that fits right into your family. I would get one from a shelter before going to gumtree (especially as most shelters desex/vaccinate/microchip/temp test etc so you know you have a healthy dog ready to go).

My pure bred Dalmation cost $800. I also have a little Maltese cross Blue Heeler who I paid $120 for, almost 7 years ago.
