    Default Who to contact

When the realestate are not doing anything to resolve a prob in the house that needs fixing and have been asked many times to fix it. Eg: fence is falling down and the dog can fit thro the gap. And we have had a fle prob since being here and have tried everything and nothing we are doing is working. They have sent out a bug man twice but he never sprays the prob areas - the grass - they are grass fleas and the poor dog I have to wash her every 3 days which isn't good for a dog. Who do you call to take it further or threaten to take it to?

Try Fair Trading or Rental Tribunal.

We had problems with our old real estate so I breached them. It gives them 7 days to remedy the problem. It still didn't work for us so we took them to the tenancy tribunal

Subscribing as this sounds like our real estate.

It's a form you can fill in through your local tenancies tribunal. It's basically a form where you outline the problem and within which time frame you would like it remedied. The one I have specifies what will happen if they don't fix the problem (provided it is them at fault, of course) - you can either apply for financial compensation, repair it yourself and they repay you, or you can apply to end the lease agreement.

Grass fleas are just baby fleas. If there's lots it does mean you will need better flea control like comfortis or panoramis and it will take 4-6 months to see a difference. Flea washes really don't do much apart from drying your dogs skin. It really is worth spending a bit extra on good flea products - you can get them online or at your vet or a really good pet store. If you have a cat you'll need to treat it too - revolution is great for cats. Also don't forget to worm your pets cause tapeworm is spread by fleas.
