Brock Birch sounds like an actors name.

It makes me want to talk in a deep movie trailer narrater type voice...

    "BRUCE WILLIS...BROCK BIRCH...DIE HARD 8".

    But I'm a goofball.

Seriously though, it's kind of got a 'punch' to it.

    Yes, it sounds wrong.

Brock sounds like a dogs name and it sounds even worse coupled with Birch.

    Sorry...you asked.

I like Brock as a name, our friends little boy is called Brock so I guess I'm used to it as a kids name rather than a dogs or a porn stars lol!
But I don't think it goes with Birch. The k doesn't roll into the B smoothly.

On the other hand Alexander Birch is an awesome name!

Just coming back into this thread and I really love the name.
Seriously say it with a CEO voice and person in mind wearing the nice suit and sunglasses. Brock Birch.
    It's a great name.
And then when he introduces himself "Hello, Brock Alexander Birch" in a real important business guy voice.

I have a nephew who's first and last name I couldn't believe they put together when he was born and I think this is my reservation. Clearly in the replies everyone is split, from loving to loathing but the poll is telling me it's horrible.

This is no different to real life, the responses are so split.

Oh I have no idea what to do.... we can't think of any other boy name we like. I also went to school with a Brock and he was a lovely guy so guess I'm used to it as a normal persons name from that respect too.

If YOU love it then don't let what everyone else thinks sway you. It's not like everyone's going to always say "Brock Birch" they're just going to call him Brock.

This^. I only had one name i liked for DS2 but it didn't exactly go with my last name, i ended up using it anyway as i couldn't come up with anything else. So DS has the initials P.P. It doesn't sound too great when you say the 2 names together but really it's not that often that you have too.
If you really like the name, use it! Stuff what other people think!

I'm really starting to think this is going to have to be the case, DH is happy with it, it's me that had the reservations but if we don't stumble across any other name we will just have to use it. I really like the name Brock in it's own right, it's with the surname that gives me reservations.

    Thanks everyone for your thoughts
