    hi sammy!

well i found the whole iui process to be ok. the most difficult thing i found was the unpredictablilty of doctors appointments etc. it was hard to juggle work commitments , my two year old son and all the appointments.

i went in for my first blood test on day 13. we were a bit late this cycle because i didnt see my doctor until day nine. he put me on clomid a bit late in the cycle but he thought it would be ok based on a scan he did on day 9. i saw my doc again on day 14 and he said my levels were peaking- meaning ovulation was soon. he gave me a trigger injection on day 14 and did a scan. he saw two follicles of a good size ready to go. he said day 15 would be iui day. my husband had to create a sample and we drove it to the lab to be washed and prepared. then we took it back to my doc and he did the iui.

it pretty much just feels like a papsmear- if you have no problems with those i am sure you will be right. i have a two year old son so i think my cervix is a bit easier to get through. do you have any other children or will this be your first?

the actual iui part is over so quickly and you sort of think "is that it?". dont stress. i am sure you will do fine. it feels great to know you are trying something different this month and it might just work!

are you doing fertility meds as well as iui?

all the best! let me know how you go!

    Hey!

Just finished at my appointment! Going back on Monday for bloods/scans. Which will be CD14. Follies are going good. Got a few fighting on the right side and trying to beat each other in size which is good! :-)

No I'm not on any meds at this stage. They gave me my trigger injection today and the cream to have after insemination.

Ill get my blood results this arvo to see where my body says I'm at.

They said insemination will be this time next week pretty much!

    :-) yay!

    How's your TWW going?

    Sammy

    hi sammy!
thats great!! i am keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for you!!

i am feeling really down today. i took a preg test yesterday and it was negative. period is due wednesday so it probably would have shown up with the first response kit by now i think. now i wish my period would just hurry up and come so this cycle can be over and done with. i am hoping i can muster up enough emotional energy to do it again next month oh well....

i am sending you lots and lots of good luck baby wishes for your coming days!

    keep me posted!

    katelyn xx

    Hi Katelyn,

Sorry to hear you had a BFN. Hopefully it was still to early, and if not yay AF comes quickly and passes so you can continue on with your next cycle.

So the appointment didn't go the way I hoped. Apparently follies still are early days... They have sent me home with FSH (this round was drug free however changes happen I guess) so now wait to see what bloods come back as this arvo and they will tell me if I start the injections to try and push things along! Clinic wants it to happen this week or next as they shut down for Xmas.... Please let me ovulate before then!

GDYB03 I'm sorry the appointment didn't go as you'd hoped, but hopefully the FSH helps and you O before they close for Christmas. Still hope! x
