Default Single parents - would you move interstate for a year for a well paying job?

I posted a question a while back in the working section about whether you would take a pay cut to work closer to home. But now I'm considering taking up a job in the mining sector for a lot more money than I can get here, where work in my area is hard to come by and thus low paid compared to the city.

I really need the money at this point and am fed up with the lack of work locally. But I'm worried about having even less support if I move, putting DS in full-time care (or part-time with a PT nanny).

Has anyone done this? Is it too hard as a single parent with a toddler to realistically do? I could save a LOT in just one year and could set myself up in a little house somewhere if I do it.

    ??

I would do it too. If it ends up being pretty horrible and not what you want, you know it's only for a year.

Yes if I liked the job I'd move anywhere... And honestly a year can fly by...

Yeah, I would, as long as it worked out beneficial with all other related costs taken into account. This exact thing is what I want to do long term- after I set myself up with the required gear though. Mainly for travel reasons but I also want to set myself up better financially as well so a well paid job where I can save a stack and travel would be perfect!

Nope. Not in my situation where child needs multiple therapists. Too hard getting into services
