honestly. 9-10dpo is about the earliest possible time a hpt or blood test should be able to pick it up. A hpt can pick up a 25 or higher hcg level. Biologically speaking - The egg takes approx 5-6 days to make its journey down the fallopian tube. Then another 3-4 days to actually imbed in the uterus before it will start to produce hcg. showing that 8-10 days is the craziest early time it should show up! If your out by 1 day etc. It can make it all a day later! of course there are exceptions and extremely lucky people. But for the most part. 10 - 12 dpo is the "usual" faint line on a hpt. As the days get closer to your AF the line hopefully should get darker etc. However. There are some unfortunately ladies that 1. dont get a line until after AF is due (14-16 dpo and onwards) 2. Some ladies struggle with certain types of HPT's. I had a BFN at 10dpo. I had a faint BFP at 11dpo (at the end of the day! after lots of fluid intake etc not my strongest wee) and did a digital clear blue straight after the 11dpo BFP and had a "pregnant 2-3 weeks"Edited to add - HCG blood test. Im 7 weeks pregnant now and only just having a HCG blood test now. My Dr doesnt believe in them. If a HPT picks it up. Its positive.

Not necessarily. I've had 7 faint positives in the last week and had a blood test done yesterday to confirm. It's negative.
