    Default Screaming baby -car capsule.

My DS was like this until about 3-4 months old. He just decided one day to not cry.

Prior to this I would have to time it during his nap, I was able to transfer him into the capsule whilst he was asleep. And this did not always work. Nothing else seemed to work.

He is 7 months old and is fine most of the time.

    Have you tried toys?

We have tried hanging a few toys off the handle of the baby capsule...and then we tried taking them off too....in case they were over stimulating...but neither made any difference.

We had to take a 40 minute drive today and it seems like giving him a bottle works well...we just need to make sure the bottle is big enough to last...oh dear though... Is this teaching him to comfort eat...?

    He won't take a dummy...

Yes, he got better when forward facing. I feel your pain it is horrible and stressful. I did stop on quite a few occasions to console him cause he would start to choke he screamed so much. Only effect it had was making the car trip longer but at least we both had a break from the screaming.

Don't worry about habits now! If giving him a bottle works, then do it

My DS1 screamed in the car until he was sitting up right and front-facing at 8 & a 1/2 months. He did have silent reflux and was only diagnosed at 10 weeks after 20 hour a day screaming before that, so this may have had something to do with it, although even after he was on medication he continued to scream in the car - a learned behaviour perhaps from the time he was in pain.

Not that this info helps with your little one, sorry! All I can say is hang in there and deep breaths and listen to the radio loud - this helped me to focus on something other than his screaming.

So sorry you are having such a tough time
