    Default Screaming baby -car capsule.

So, we're driving home from MIL's place. It takes about 40 minutes to get home and we're only half way there.

Ds had been screaming for every one of the 22 minutes thus far. I feel so a sick to hear him cry like this for so long that want to vomit. It's not going to stop. I'm really confused about what is causing him to cry...sometimes he is fine in the car seat, often he isn't...

You know that hysterical kind of start-stop cry...? It does not matter whether he is at the start of an awake time or whether he is tired, well feed or not.

Does anyone have any thought on what might help...or how to cope with the crying?
    ...... 32 minutes.....

Does it help to sing to him? I do this with DD sometimes and it calms her down a bit.

Unfortunately sometimes babies cry in the car and there isn't much we can do for them. I know we had quite a few very loud and stressful trips with DS when he was younger (and occasionally even sometimes now at 10.5 months).

I found singing to him, playing some of his lullaby music through the car stereo (the same music we play to him at night) would sometimes help. Would also make sure he had a toy within reach to look at.

DD would do this, especially if travelling close to her arsenic hour (is it late afternoon?). We'd usually give up after 30mins, pull over, try to console, but it would all start again after 3 minutes back on the road. Me sitting in the back (if possible) would help, singing/talking to her made it worse - just seemed to remind her that we were there but she couldn't be in our arms.

Could b hot? I had to take the infant insert out of mine as DS got so hot when we got home I would have to strip him off cause he was wet.
He still sometimes does but now it either Hungary or tired

How old is he? My youngest would scream non stop every time he was in the car, until he was about 15 months old. It was rough.

We avoided long trips as much as we could. Doesn't help you I know but just know you are not alone xo

Dummy and toys always have helped my DS in the car. Cars can do funny things to ears and sucking helps.
