As soon as I knew I started buying little things, (outfits, nail clippers, neck support, toys) big purchases such as the cot have only just been done (I'm 29 weeks!)

First pregnancy - after 12 weeks, i brought a neutral coloured soft beautiful blanket. At 20 weeks we started to look at big ticket items -cot/change table/pram/car seat and put them on lay-buy.

Second pregnancy - as we didnt need much, after 21 weeks, we found out the sex and i brought a blue outfit for the day he is born car seats were on sale so we fluked one half price when i was around 25 weeks. ive stopped buying stuff because i know how much family/friends ect give after bub is born. 5 weeks to go!

I didn't but anything till 19 weeks as I had a bad blood test with scary results... Had to go for an extra u/s at 18 weeks to look for soft markers and my mum didn't want me buying stuff just to find out that it might not be viable... I am now 28 weeks

A cot at about 12 weeks because we loved it and it was on clearance- I didn't really buy much more until we laybuyed the carseat, pram, change table at about 25 weeks and bought a few things like bottles etc off sale sites as they came up.

When baby was born. We bought the essentials like bassinet and bath/changeable but other than that we had to wait till bub was born. My grandmother stayed at home while I was in labour to go out and buy baby clothes/wraps whatnot haha! I get a lot of comments and questions about it, but my family is very VERY traditional and we believe that you should wait till baby is safe and well before buying things just incase anything did happen to him/her. It's to try to lessen the grief if you come home from the hospital with no baby.

Big W was having their major sale on nursery stuff when I found out I was pregnant... Could have been as early as 6 weeks that I began lay bying because I found out at 5 weeks. I bought gender neutral stuff for the most part and blue stuff after my 20 wk morphology scan
