Default Another Liverpool hospital question .. help!

    Hi ladies,

So I am booked in for a c-section at Liverpool Hospital in May next year. I am attending as a private patient in a public hospital. I guess what I would like to know is, do their maternity ward have anything special going for them? Do you know if they offer post natal home care to help with adjusting to a newborn/lactating consultant etc etc? I really am quite clueless as this is our first so not sure what to expect of the hospital or it's services? Hoping you lovely ladies can share your experiences there

    hi
I had my baby girl at Liverpool hospital in September.
I ended up having an emergency c section.
I was a public patient & will never have a baby there ever again (but that's another story!)
I had a midwife come to the house twice once I was home and she was lovely.
The maternity ward is quite small and packed, very busy! but I found the staff on the ward to be really great, fast and helpful.
there is only one small "nursery" so you need to wait your turn before being able to bath baby.
You should call the hospital to ask.for specific programs your after I'm sure they will be able to tell you

Hi Snugglepot and thanks so much for responding. Yes I think I will have to call them to find out what they have to offer. I called 3 days ago to book myself in but I am yet to receive a phone call back! Although,, they did say in the message it could take 5 days to get back to me but still .. I will ask them then when I hear back. Thanks again and congratulations on the birth of your baby girl
