Where does banning end though??
Books don't have classification. The Exorcist, for example.
One of the scenes they left out was of the girl masturbating with the cross.
Will we start banning books too?
'Cause I gotta be honest with you, my imagination can be far, far worse than any movie I've ever seen.
Conversationally, watch the movie "Feed." Gods it was disgusting.
I've watched some of the 2nd human centipede and the uncut version of the first. The second was too boring.
Whoever said banning movies makes them more appealing is correct. Some movies I have seen just to see if they're bad enough to be worthy of banning. A Serbian Film is one. It actually could be appropriately labelled torture porn and nobody would disagree. The whole storyline is a man having lots of gruesome sex and such. It's quite revolting in its loose plot and also in the actual images... There is a particularly disturbing scene that I'm fairly certain most people here would find horrific and revolting.
Apparently it's symbolic or some such nonsense.
Anyone who thinks human centipede or saw is as bad as it gets... Well, it's not.
Different things get to different people though. As I said earlier, I can watch someone be hacked up to tiny pieces... I mostly find it irritating they need to use extreme gore to make audiences forget that the acting and storyline is crap. But rape scenes? No way. I remember those and I can't get over them. I'm not even a rape victim so it's not some sort of trigger. I also can't handle animal cruelty. Depicted or not, I close my eyes and cover my ears if I know it's coming. I just can't hack it.
I think ratings are suitable. A lot of these films are rated r anyway. Grown adults should be allowed to choose if they want to watch them or not.
