Default Process of getting a rental?

So what I've got in DHs name for documents is:

    - drivers license
    -payslips
    -rego
    -bank statement
    - work/personal references

    For me it's:
    -mobile phone bill
    -Internet/landline bill
    -passport
    -birth certificate
    -Medicare card

Oh and I wrote a cover letter Am I missing anything else? Should I go to the viewing with bond money in hand just in case? Thank you

Do you have any photo id?

No don't take the bond to the inspection, there's no point. It will take a few days to process your application and there's no guarantee you'll be approved yet. Even if you had pre-approval before the inspection the agent won't be able to take the money from you out of the office.

Agree with pp. You usually need some form of photo ID.

As for the bond each real estate will accept different payment methods. My current real estate are old school and i had to get a cheque, last RE i direct deposited it and the time before that i used eftpos to pay it at the RE. So no point in taking it along with you.
