Default What sort of snack do you give your kids?

My kids can eat anything they like really, depending on the time of day. Snacks can be fruit, mini chocolates, a Lilly, biscuits, cheese, raw vegies - they usually say 'mum can I please have x?' And I decide whether its appropriate or not ie they are NOT getting chocolate before a meal but they are more than welcome to eat fruit and raw vegies at any time of day.

Chocolate and lollies aren't always treats but I find that because the kids don't go without them, sometimes they say no to them when they're offered :-)

Boiled egg, carrot sticks, ham cruskets, fruit, berry smoothie, chips. It depends what we have, how close to dinner and what else they have had throughout the day.

Another favorite is tin tuna and hats with cheese.

They always want a "taste plate" which is lots of bits and pieces in a plate.
This morning it was corn kernels, chopped baby toms, rice cake with avocado, strawberries and apricot.
They love mountain bread wraps, baked beans (salt reduced), cheese, kidney beans
I make my own dips and we have them with seaweed biscuits and vegie sticks.
Or a smoothie/juice in the thermomix.
The only packaged food I buy is gluten free bars for DD who has a wheat allergy.
We don't have sweet snacks or other packaged food.
My kids diet is something I'm really proud of.

Our main ones are: yoghurt, fruit, cheese and crackers, tiny teddies, popcorn and muesli bars. There's lots of different ones depending on where we are and what we're doing.

My DS eats a LOT but I never give him anything like cake, chocolate, chips etc. he's 18 months and his snacks are:

    Cucumber sticks
    Rice crackers
Cut up fruit - he eats all fruit and we have a big variety at home
    Cheese
    Cherry tomatoes
    Avocado
    Ham
    Yoghurt - without added sugar
Home made cheese & ham muffins (or similar)
    Vegemite cruskits or plain cruskits
Rusks (ouma - South African brand, he loves these)

I'm sure there is more that I can't think of now

Fruit, yoghurt, cut up cheese, cucumber and carrot, cruskits with either jam or ham.

They're pretty good with what they eat.

Fruit, veg, nuts, cheese, olives, crackers and the odd cupcake. My ds2 has recently been put on a "no numbers" diet, so all 4 kids adhere to it. They prefer to eat fruit most of the time anyway. I on the other hand, eat crap lol

Fruit, either on its own, cut up into fruit salad, on a picky plate
    Yoghurt
    Cheese and crackers, cucumber, tomato
    Eggs
    Fruit toast
    Cruskits
    Pikelets
    Homemade muffin or slice
    Homemade popcorn plain
Homemade iceblocks made with fruit or yoghurt

We also let our kids have a sometimes food now and again. Chips, chocolate, lolly etc. They eat such a wide range of fruit, vegetables and meat. We as a family believe that it's incredibly important to teach 'everything in moderation'. We talk about the importance of everyday food and eating snack foods occassionally
