Default Re: What did your child(ren) do today that made your heart melt?

My 4.5 year old, who is usually a bit of a handful just gave Me a huge hug and thanked me for "being a great mummy who takes me places when your sick"

I'm pregnant and struggling with HG at the moment and I took my kids to a play centre today despite struggling not to spew the whole time. It melted my heart that he noticed and appreciated it <3

My 6 week old smiled at me for the first time, especially nice since we are stressed out waiting to find out of he has cystic fibrosis.

My 4 year old twins gave me big cuddles and told me they loved me and would look after daddy while bub and I go to the hospital for tests

Just wanted to say thank you to OP to starting this thread - I don't have any children myself yet but all of your stories made me smile! So cute and innocent!

DS came up to me with his broken Lego fire truck - "mum fix". So I did, then he said "thank you mama" as he ran off happy - he is very much learning please and thank you and hardly says them unprompted.

My DD has been an angel tonight after me having a colonoscopy today and having several sections removed for biopsy.

She made me a card, wouldn't let my mum leave me home alone while she (mum) went and got milk, lay in bed with me stroking my head and checking I was alright.

    She's such a sweetheart xx

My 5 year old read the whole of 'Green Eggs and Ham' all by himself at bedtime. He was so proud of himself afterwards, and so was I!!! Then with a huge grin on his face, he gave me a big cuddle and said "Thank you for listening to me read". It actually brought happy tears to my eyes.

    Proud mummy moment!!!!

    Aww..what a lovely thread!!!

DS (10.5 months) waved at me and gave me a big smile this morning when I went into his room to get him up out of his cot. It was just beautiful.
