Default Vitamin A in skin products while pregnant

Is anyone aware of any dangers relating to vitamin A in skin products during pregnancy. Currently expecting #2 and getting a little older and craggier in the face.... I wasn't using any retinol products during #1 pregnancy and came across the briefest mention in a baby book recently.

I'd be interested in any research or sources people have. If there is a risk I'd stop, but how big is that risk?

    Thanks!!

Personally, I would avoid it if you can. I have no research beyond the risk about vitaminA in general (which I assume are based on ingestion). You could possibly google "absorbing vitamins through skin" for info on how much of any vitamin would be absorbed into your system.

I went to an Arbonne party when I was about 5 weeks and as soon as she mentioned that Vitamin A is a key ingredient in their main range I decided it wasn't for me. But after two losses I'm not taking ANY risks with anything (aka: crazy pregnant lady)! I don't know about you, but my skin changes a lot when preg so you may find a different product works better until post-bub anyhow.
