Default 21 weeks and bleeding :(

I'm 21 weeks tomorrow and today had a bit of brown blood when I wiped (sorry TMI). I went to my ob, she listened to bubs hb and it was fine 140 bpm, checked my cervix is closed. Bub is still moving around alot. I had my morph scan on Friday last week and everything is fine, my placenta isn't near my cervix. I'm going for an ultrasound tomorrow morning.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar ?

I'm trying not to freak out but that's easier said than done

I had this happen at 21 weeks too but mine was a bright red. Did the same as you with the checks and all is fine ( almost 26 woks now).

I understand how freaky and worrying this is cause I was the same. If there was anything really wrong they would have picked it up on your scan.

Take comfort in knowing you have seen your bub and that you are feeling it move ( the best reassurance).

I had a massive bleed at 19 weeks, had all the checks done and bub was fine - my ob could not find the source of the bleed either. I am happy to say DS is now a happy healthy 8 year old

Default 21 weeks and bleeding :(

I had bleeding on an off between 16-20 weeks. After seeing so many doctors and going to the emergency so many times, one doctor finally said it was a cervical ectropian. Which is basically high estrogen causing the cervix to be weak so it has small bleeds every now and then. Next time you go to your doctor as if they can see if its a cervical ectropian.

    Hope it's all ok :-)

Edited to add a cervical ectropian is nothing to worry about at all. It just causes a bit of bleeding here and there.

Default 21 weeks and bleeding :(

I had quite a few bleeds and everything was fine! My ob said I probably had a vascular cervix. Good luck, am sure everything will be fine

I'm 30 weeks and have a bright red bleed every 4 weeks (strangely when my period would normally be due) no explanation as to why, only enough to wear a liner for a few hours and Baby is fine. It's scary isn't it but i'm sure you'll be fine x

    Thanks everyone

The bleeding seems to have stopped now, I have an ultrasound this morning. I hope it was just one of those things and doesn't happen again.
