    I have worked for roughly 20 organisations since 1997 including several listed on the stock exchange. I'm a contractor and get paid well to offer my professional services to an organisation. I've never once read that women were expected to wear skirts below the knee.

    In the late 80s I worked at KMart, the uniform for women sat above the knee.

    I have a gorgeous black felt skirt that sits just above my knees. It's so well made, sits beautifully and I can't wait for the day to get back into it. It looks fabulous with some black tights and my knee high boots and yes, I have worn that to the office AND I was in my 30s.

    Ok... I can see how there has been confusion as my description wasn't the best. I've found a random picture on line that is similar to what the lady was wearing at work...
