It is common knowledge that in MOST professional workplaces it is expected that skirts be to the knee.

Why are we all nit picking at VicPark... I sure know I've made the "Dressed like a Hooker" analogy before.. . Who hasn't.
I haven't. I tend not to make comments about others' appearance. I think it says more about the person commenting.

It's no fricking wonder women don't get taken seriously in the workplace if they are preoccupied bagging out other women for their appearance.

Did you measure from the bottom or top of your knee? My guesstimate of the lady at works skirt was originally off. It was probably closer to 18-20 from the top of the knee. Wayyyyyy shorter than this pic. It was closer to her crack than her knee. It was tighter too (skin tight) so perhaps that created an illusion of being shorter.
I love how this story is changing as we go on. Pretty soon she will have turned up to work with nothing but bandaids on her nipples.

Or.... Their rude judgemental opinion or general fuddy duddiness needs an overhaul.

OP, that was from the top of my knee.

My boss used to wear dresses very similar to the one i posted. She was a barrister. Pretty strict dress code, being a barrister. They have to wear silly wigs and all.

    Me neither.

another one here who has worked in corporate/office environments for over a decade and have not heard the 'common knowledge' that skirts must cover knees. I stand by my original post - what are people on?

Personally, I mostly wear skirts that come to the ankle. Only brazen hussies show their knees

Goddddddd....you PEOPLE! Now I'm all paranoid because people can see my knees at work. Am I going to be buried to the neck and stoned now for showing an ankle? Are there women at work saying I look like a hooker?!

Some people are defensive about toilet mats, others are defensive about getting called a hooker if they wear anything above the knee. Same Difference

FTR i dont think 15cm is 'too short'. Skirt length doesnt bother me, unless i can see their undies.
