    Default The Dummy!

What type of dummy does your babe take (if any...)?

DD sucks on the bottle to settle but i think id rather her suck on a dummy especially once shes on solids etc.

She took the avent ones when she was really little but since swithing from boob to bottle she doesnt like it.

DS3 loves Nuk and DD has Avent. We tried the cheap ones and they collapsed in on themselves almost immediately.

Op, what do you mean by sucking on a bottle to self settle? a bottle of milk?

We bought two NUk they were expensive and had the cherry shape but DS rejected. Then bought another cherry shaped one from chemist warehouse very cheap $1.99 or $2.99 and amazingly made in Australia but again he didn't like.

A friend gave us some stuff including a brand new tomee tippee dummy which she has kept for a few years from her boy and our bub takes to it. It is very cute and has a lion face.

i am not sure if we were not very persevering in training him to take the cherry type so I think I will pull them out again to try on him. I realise it takes practice to suck a dummy.

we aren't in favour of using dummies but he seems to settle better with them besides my boob.

Thanks guys! Guess it will just be trial and error though i think a trip to Coles is in order

Shell suck on the bottle whether ir has milk in it or not...and it never fails to soothe her. But if i could get her to take a dummy it would be alot bettet i think.

Now to figure out how to teach her to take it...!

Op, won't sucking an empty bottle let her swallow air?
