Default Can anyone recomend a Doc who specializes in low egg production?

    Hi all,

This is my first time usuing this site!!! Quite excited and looking forward to getting into it.

My husband and I have been through 3 IVF cycles so far - through Melb IVF. 1st cycle - 2 eggs. 2nd cycle - no eggs. 3rd cycle - 1 egg. The 2 transfers have not resulted in pregancy.

I have been told by the docs that I will just never produce large egg numbers - I am only 33 and have been told that my ovaries think they are much older than they are. Poor confused ovaries!

I am looking for a 2nd opinion though and am wondering whether anyone knows of a specialist who may deal with this sort of problem specifically. Maybe they all do - I don't know.

Would love to hear from people.

    Ducks X

Hi Ducks, sorry I'm in Sydney do cant help much in the FS department - have you had your AMH levels tested? And if so - discuss with our FS about DHEA - I myself have low AMH and use to get at max 4 eggs at EPU, my last fresh cycle (last year) I took DHEA for nearly 12 weeks prior and ended up with 11 eggs, 9 of which were mature and 7 which fertilised - worth a shot!!!

    Good Luck xo

Hi ducks I second the use of DHEA. I went through sydney IVF and had low egg production too. After switching from ivf Australia and going on DHEA we had a BFP. We didn't get many eggs, 3 but it only takes the one.
