    Default Gifts for teachers

DD1 is just about to finish prep in just over 2 weeks, it's been a challenging year for us, her teacher, teacher aide and carer understanding her diabetes and insulin pump so we'd love to get a gift to say we appreciate all the effort they've put into managing her this year.

Is it ok for children to give their teacher a gift at the end of the year? If so what gift suggestions do you have? I have no idea what to get.

When they are doing so much for our children they really do deserve a personalized gift to show we appreciate them. Ahh it's so hard to think of that something though!! All her teachers are over 40 which I find is harder to buy for.

We have in past years done

    - reusable takeaway coffee cup filled with homemade chocolate
    - personalised Christmas decorations
    - homemade Christmas goodies hamper - cake, chocolates, rum balls, shortbread
    - bottle of favourite drink
    - coffee card from coffee shop across the school with enough credit for a coffee once a fortnight.

This year we are doing star biscuit Christmas trees and wrapping them in cellophane. DS favourite teacher is getting that and a teapot for one and some nice tea leaves .

For dd1 teachers I'm giving them a coffee cup and going to fill it with assorted chocolate and wrap it in cellophane and I'm going to do the same for the leaders at dd2 playgroup

We give DS1's teachers xmas tree ornaments, that way they remember the child when decorating the tree every year 😃

Boobycino, that looks great! I'm struggling to think of what would be in a 1 litre jar! Am I just having a moment?
