Default Canberra ladies: Which FS do you recommend?

    Hi there ladies
im relatively new to this thread posting wise but have been around here reading for a long time.
We have mfi. Our history is quickly; fresh cycle got ds(how lucky were we!?) then since he was 6 months we've been ttc#2, he'll be 3 in feb. we've had 2 more fresh, and an currently doing our 3rd FET since he's been born.
ive pretty much resigned used to the fact that this is going to be unsuccessful even though these embryos are from 2.5yrs ago so much younger than my almost 33 yr old eggs I have now!
If it is I'm considering changing FS. I've seen dr Armellin (whic is who my FET will be under ATM) and dr Campbell (at Genea). Anyone recommend dr divine who works from the same clinic as Armellin? I guess after a few cycles you start clutching at straws and wantig new ideas etc. I haven't been unhappy with either FS I've seen(I can't really afford Genea for lots and lots of cycles is the problem!)
anyway thanks for reading and I hope Someone out there can offer some opinion

I'd recommend tween low at genea, I find her great but genea is expensive. I've heard mixed things about Dr Devine, I know someone who did 5 wasted rounds of fertility drugs with her and she didn't even test the partner (he's got zero sperm). I've heard some not great about her.

    Ok thanks ladies!
its such a hard decision! I'm just getting tired of hearing "you have had a full term pregnancy we know you can do it". And no real change in protocol etc etc...
I don't feel like anyone has actually given a damn about the outcome just collecting the $$$$. I could just be feeling jaded but the clinic I am at right now you sure do feel like a number and that's it....

Hi tiredofttc, your journey sounds very similar to ours. We have a beautiful dd who is 3 now and we were very fortunate to conceive her in our first ever cycle of ivf. We've been ttc #2 since April this year. We have been seeing Dr Devine through CFC. Are you at CFC too? I haven't had any probs, well apart from not conceiving! Dr Devine is great. I guess it depends on what you're looking for in a fs. I've found that Dr Devine is very patient-led, in that she will do what she can with the ideas that we have. I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing, but better than a Dr with no "bedside manner". She has tried different things through each of our cycles although through my own research and recollections of my own previous cycles I have offered info which have led to some of the decisions being made about my treatment. All in all though I would recommend both CFC and Dr Devine. Good luck with your decision, hope you get some good news soon :-)

Hi Tessagirl! Thanks for your reply yes we do sound similar (an we are the same age haha, well my bday is soon!)
yes I am with CFC at the moment doing an FET (just triggered last night actually!)
it's funny as I often wonder when I'm sitting in the waiting room how many ladies have responded or written in here!!!
Curently we are under dr Armellin using the last of our frosties. I don't have a problem with him we conceived under him with our ds in 2009. I just find that as he is so busy he usually doesn't require a post cycle breakdown app and just happily rewrites your paper work and I'm wondering whether we need a change in protocol etc.. To be honest money is getting to be an issue and I fear we are nearing the end if our ttc journey full stop.. You just wonder how things can be so perfect and aligned to gve us one beautiful child and they can't match up for another? I know we should be grateful to have what we have (WHICH WE ARE!!!) but I always say that fertile ppl never have to apologise or feel ungrateful for wanting more but yet we do?!?!?
anyway I hope you find some success very soon also! Feel free to pm me if you like

We are starting IVF iCSI in jan with Genea with Simone. She has been absolutely amazing with us over the past three months with testing, follicle tracking and clomid.

Is there much difference in price between clinics?

    Hi bindy
yeah there is a fair price diff between clinics that's for sure! I haven't really found Simone that spectacular to be honest.
Im not saying its her fault I'm not pregnant. I know s*** happens a lot with ivf.
I guess she just didn't seem overly thourough with us "because I have a baby".
That said she is a lovely person and a good doctor with some good ideas.
I'm glad that you have found her to be what you are looking for though as I really do believe it is such a personal choice.
I am wishing you all the best in your ttc journey I hope it is a short one
