Default Re: What do your kids call YOUR step parents?

My dad isn't remarried but we refer to his girlfriend (for want of a better term) Granny (insert name here). She is great and I love that DS calls her that

My mum's parents are both remarried and I have always called them Nanna and 'partner's name' and Pa and 'partner's name'. It feels weird for me to call them anything but their name. I guess if they had been remarried before I was born then it would be different.

My dad remarried - we call our 'step mum' by her first name - and so do our kids

My kids refer to my step-mum as Nana >FirstName<, they have 3 Nanas, 2 Nans, so the name has to be added to avoid confusion.

All of my step-dads have no kids of their own, they are very chuffed to be referred to as 'Grandpa'.

My step-sisters kids (older than mine) call my dad 'Poppa' and he's their main grandparent on that side, so my kids have used the same name for him.

I call my mothers step-mum 'Aunty >FirstName<', but she's a mail order bride and my mums age.

I have always called my step grand parents by the same names my (1/2) brothers call them. Nowdays I refer to step grandma 'nutbag' behind her back because she is nuts and a selfish cow.

Dd calls my stepdad 'grumpy', as will his bio grandchildren if/when (hopefully in many years) my brothers had kids. My stepdad and mum have been together since I was 2 and dad passes away when I was 5, I still call my stepdad by his name, but will sometimes refer to him as dad to others.

DS calls my stepfather "granddad". He has grandchildren from his daughter and thats what they call him so we just went with that.

DS calls my partners parents by their names...this is only because DS was 1 when I met DP and when DS met that family we just used their names.
