    Default The mysterious appointment... - Week 4, Day 4 - Blog 41

I feel as though this appointment is best described by a series of pictures.

For so long, I've been hiding behind my hair. People have swooned over it and that's made me feel attractive in some way. I thought that it didn't matter what I looked like because my hair was gorgeous. Well, no more. It's time for me to get out of my shell so a part of that was getting the big chop.

Needless to say, I got quite a few shocked reactions from friends. I don't think anybody thought I would actually ever go through with it. My hair hasn't been this short since 2005! That being said, I feel good about it, it's like a weight has been lifted off me. This is just one of the steps I needed to take in order to become the new me.

In other news, today was probably one of my worst days so far. It was a rest day so I shouldn't feel too bad but it feels...weird not exercising at all. I also ate too much dip at my friend's Tupperware party and then I went to see Breaking Dawn in Gold Class (awesome, by the way!) and had chicken strips with aioli and a choc-mint choc top for dessert.

Oh well, I'll be back on track again tomorrow and hopefully today's treat day hasn't screwed me up too much. I also got another chance to play the funniest card game of all time today, Cards Against Humanity. All in all, it's been a great day. I am happy panda. Hey, who knew that existed!

Thanks guys! I needed to do it because this is a big part of becoming the new me. I'll probably grow it longer again because I do love long hair but I felt like I needed to make this step to prove to myself that I can be me and I can be beautiful without waist length hair!

That is such a scary coincidence! I am booked in to have my long hair chopped shorter this week! Not in the same life changing way that yours is as mine is just always up in a ponytail anyway and it is just way past due to be cut. I love your new look!
