    Default Freaking out

I had my first midwives appointment yestetday and she so kindly pointed out that with every birth ive lost 4 weeks. My first was 41 weeks, 2nd was 37 and third was 33 weeks, so if history repeats this baby will be coming at 29 weeks, it was scary enough having a baby at 33 weeks.

Well, wasn't that lovely of her? <sarcasm!>

I hope she followed up with "but that means nothing with this baby, because we're going to take these precautions and keep bub's in there as long as possible."

She sounds completely thoughtless to not offer you reassurance after that statement!

Such rubbish! Don't believe it. Ask her where in the medical journals that's stated!
    It's just a coincidence.

That's a horrible thing to say.
I would be asking them what they are going to do about it, what precautions / treatments can be done to try and prevent bubby coming early.

I don't see why we need to bag out the midwife. She was just making an observation, I highly doubt she was actually suggesting that your baby will be born at 29 weeks.

I don't think it sounds like there was any "aim" I presume she had the information in front of her and made an observation out loud. Perhaps she shouldn't have, but I don't think its fair to call her an idiot.

To be honest i had never even made the 4 week connection, i dont think she said it with an aim to be a ***** or anything just a general obsetvation, it wasnt until i got home that i started to freak out,
