yeah same here Tantom, it's 8.15 and all I want to do is leave, although our appointment isn't until 1 pm but we have to drop of the swimmers by 12 pm at the latest, so leaving at 10.30 I think. I hope you get on a quick cycle Tantom.
Babyplz, I'm glad that Dr Morrow is also lovely and yes I think that smiley face and number is a very personal touch. It's great to know that they are taking the time and it's not like a meat market, in and out (wam bam thank you Mam). I really wish for you that your embies are really sticky ones. Again lots and lots of for you. Oh did you take time of work for this? I'm thinking of putting in at least 1 week sick, depending on when EPU and transfer are. My work isn't the nicest place at the best of times, so really don't want to be there when I want to feel positive. Will talk to my GP next week when I know more.

ok good luck to both of you big

How were your appointments ladies? Hope you got some dates to look forward to.

I am currently on leave so it worked out perfectly for me. I would take a week off if you can though. I'm still a bit sore from Tuesday and now our embies are in I wouldn't of liked working today. It would be draining surrounded by negativity, especially when we need all the positivity around us. Hope it works out.

was a big day. Left home at 10.40 and got back at 5 pm. Phew, Dr Morrow was running late, so our appointment was pushed back by an hour, and then we still had to go to Nambour. But now we are also booked in. Start Synarel 25/5 and injections 6/6, EPU around the 19/6.
They really are booked up if Tantom isn't on my cycle. Gee. Apparently next available isnt' until August. Wow Wee. Still have everything crossed for you Babyplz. Dr Morrow is very nice, I feel better knowing someone around my age is part of the team. Last specialist has been in the "game" for a long time, and I think he was getting stagnant, as long as he had 1 pregnancy in a cycle he was happy. And I found out that my AMH isn't bad at all for my "advanced" age. YAY, good news for me. Good luck Ladies!!! Keep in touch please, it's nice to share this with you, thanks

Joschi, what was your amh, mine is 8.8 and im 33. mine is stretched out because i dont get my periods and the lining isnt at the thickness it needs to be so im on the pill for nearly 4 weeks to start a bleed, (TMI) im sorry
our dr was nearly an hour late on Friday too made it such a long day as we didnt get home will nearly 7pm with all the traffic.

Babyplz- how is it all going, i am taking a week off after the egg pick up as i was so sore after my last one, but ill go back on the monday after transfer
hope everything is snuggling in the way it should be.

at the moment im having all the period pains and slight spotting even though im on the pill so im thinking my body is just telling me its ready to have a bleed as i have only had 1 since September last year, think i may need to talk to the clinic tomorrow if it keeps it up

    have a great day ladies

Great news about your dates! So nice to have something to look forward to.
They were so late! Very frustrating.

Im pretty bummed today. The scientist called and told me we have none to freeze out of our 5 remaining embies. 2 made it to blastocyst. 1 had cells for baby but no placenta so would miscarry, and the other wouldn't make the freeze or thaw.

I said that gives us little hope for the ones that are in me (so glad they did 2). She mentioned that each embryo is individual and so they could possibly still make it. She said she put the strongest 2 in. I'm really worried about A; not getting pregnant & B; getting pregnant only to miscarry because maybe there is no placenta in these ones too. Very disappointing news. Praying AF stays away!

Also, it sounds like there is a big wait to go again with AIVF. We are moving in October to central QLD so really need to get pregnant soon! Running out of time.
    Ahhhhhh!!!!!

Thanks for listening. It feels good to hit these keys to get it off my chest (again).

    Thinking of you both.

My AMH is 5.3, which apparently for my age is amazing (I'm 41 in 2 months). Gee I'm the complete opposite to you Tantom, I have had my AF without fail, since I'm 14 and heavy (TMI). Only since the fibroid was removed in 2008 is it light, but I'm bang on 26 days every month. But it seems that for a fair bit of my life I didn't actually produce any follicles at all. That may have been my saving grace.
I am so sorry to hear about the results of your eggs, Babyplz. But it could just be that the two embies inside you are doing the right thing. Don't pressure yourself to hurry up just cause you're moving, just concentrate on those two for now, send them love and positive thoughts. You never know.
AIVF are in Bundaberg too, you know that right?! Unless of course you guys are moving west. But something will work out.
Well my boss gave me the news yesterday that he's going on a business trip for 3 weeks, exactly during the time that we have our EPU and transfer. He doesn't know about any of this, but now I have to find a way of juggling work and the cycle. Sh*t, really didn't need this. I'm the only one in the department, so there's no one else in the entire company that does what I do, so asking a colleague to step in, isn't an option. I'll have to wing it, as usual. Come Ladies, positive thought's we can do this, we are built for doing this, let's find our inner Mama bear, and make does Babies big hugs to you both

    hi ladies,
your so right we can do this, it just takes us a little longer but we will hopefully get there in the end,

Babyplz- vent all you like we are the only ones that no what your going through, lets hope those 2 lil bubble grow nicely and are snuggling in deep, last round i got 13 eggs 2 grew but a preg never happened and we had none freeze so please dont feel too bad.

i found out the other day that my last round one was a waste of money as i never ovulated after the trigger shot so my body didn't make any progesterone to help with the medication i was on this time they are going to monitor me so we can make sure everything is running smoothly,
do you know if they do 3 or 5 day transfers here i forgot to ask

how far do you guys travel to go to this clinic- i live in logan so it takes about 1.5 -2 hours to get there

    lots of

Hi all just thought I would say a little about AMH and results. All AMH really does is provide your doctor with some idea as to the reserve of eggs in your ovaries at that time (it also helps when they are looking at your FSH dose for treatment) and therefore it helps you plan when to start a family. AMH results are also good at helping doctors and nurses set expectations re likely egg numbers when having IVF. It is important to keep in mind however, that the best predictor of treatment success is not so much the number of eggs that are in reserve in the ovaries but the age of the eggs. Therefore a woman who has a low AMH but is only 30 has a very good chance of achieving a pregnancy whilst a woman who is 45 and has a high AMH for her age has a much less chance of achieving a pregnancy that results in a live birth. Unfortunately there is very little if anything that we can do to change this other than ensuring we maintain a healthy lifestyle and possible consider talking with your doctor about some medications that MAY help such as DHEA - but again the impact that this may have on the egg quality of older woman is unknown at this stage although research is continuing.
