Hi Tanya, not much happening with me. 1x egg made it to freeze, 3 didn't take and 2 only made it to day 3 and 4. Now I'm doing blood tests again to check my levels, they are now always high on the first days of my cycle, but never high enough for a pregnancy once all ok, they do scans and if I don't ovilate myself they trigger me and transfer on the 5th day after the trigger, so the egg/emby goes in at the right time. Statistically a lot of FTs are turning into pregnancy ATM. Doesn't of course mean it'll work for us. Can only wait and see. How are you Tanya, and how's Isabella? Babyplz how are you going?

For you that this is the round for you
Isabella is good growing fast had her first round of needles yesterday so wasn't too happy all day and night. She has always been small to the point I was getting scans every 2 weeks to check growth, yesterday they measured her and she went from 25th percentile to 75th for height think she is going to be a tall baby. And now weighs 10lb 6. At 7 weeks

Default Chiming in with an update!

    Hi all,

I just wanted to chime in with an update, as it has been awhile. I last updated in November of 2013. At that time I was off to the clinic and hoping to do first cycle Feb/Mar. Things haven't gone as planned. I did a whole heap of tests along with my husband and his sperm isn't the greatest, but it's not the worst either. Also, they wanted me to do an IUI first. I was supposed to do my first insemination in two days time, but my body rejected the pill, than it rejected the progesterone they put me on... I ended up bleeding for 5wks straight with alot of pain and nausea.

We were supposed to do the first IUI in March but there has just been one problem after another. I have nearly lost the plot on a number of occasions because I just feel like I am a sitting duck on pause.

Instead of getting our IUI in a couple of days, we are going in to do further infertility investigations, which I dare say will involve a laparoscopy.

I wish you all the best and I will try to update a little more on here. But I do keep everyone updated in a timely manner on my youtube channel for any of you interested in following there.

Here's the link if you want to:

All the best to you ladies, this is sure as hell one rollercoaster ride from hell at times xoxo

Oh wow, you pretty much got the worst of it all by the sound of it. I am very sorry to hear that. Hope that things will get better and they find a solution for you. Laproscopy isn't the worst, I've had a couple and at least it'll give you some answers (hopefully). But yes it's not that exciting, ride one imagines when you are planning for a pregnancy/baby. I wish you all the best and chin up!

Thanks Tanya, I hope so too, but you know what it's like, there's always doubt. I've got to go in for a scan tomorrow, as my levels are still raised, so they want to check for cycst on the ovaries.
But your Isabelle, she's a tropper. Clearly she waited with the growing until she had space, instead of stretching her Mum to the max. What a good child you have So so very happy for you Tanya. Keep me up to date with how you both are going and I'll do the same

Default Just had fertility specialist appointment :)

Thanks Joschi, I am sorry to hear you are having problems with your eggs... I hope they can get them primed for pregnancy.

Thanks for your feedback about lapo, I have been worried about it.

Well, I had my appt yesterday and it went really well. The doctor is so lovely. He really put my mind at ease. We are getting a laparoscopy in about 3.5wks time, and at that time my husband will also get a Semen analysis (his 2nd one) cause last time he missed the cup a bit and his sperm count was only 6 million (15million or above is considered ok). So we are hoping it is just a low count because he missed the cup lol. If it is still a low count second time around it will be straight to ivf. If not, we will continue with original plan to do 2-3 iui cycles with the sister company fertility solutions.

the doc said with my age and our problems we have 40 to 50 percent chance with ivf and couldn't see why we couldn't become pregnant within 2 to 4 cycles. I couldn't contain my happiness hearing that because i have always had the fear, what if our last resort ivf doesn't work? So heres hoping. All the best ladies, and Joschi I hope your bfp isn't too far away xo

    Hi PrincessiaK,
How did the sperm count go? Did he hit the cup this time? My poor Darling man has had his fair share of donating a sample. Our guys know so much more about these things than other guys will ever know. Well fingers crossed your lap finds that all is A OK and you will get your BFP through IUI. It would most definitely be the cheapest and least invasive option.
Our FET cycle has been cancelled today. My hormone levels aren't right. I have high levels at the beginning of my cycle and ovilate earlyish, today is day 12 and I can feel it going on, alright. So back to the research and specialist appointments etc etc, meaning more time waiting and I can't really afford any wasted time at my age. So I've now started to give up, cause should I really hang on to a dream that at nearly 42 is pretty much impossible. If we'd found this out 4 years ago, it would be different, but I'm not 4 years younger.
Good luck PrincessiaK, I really hope it'll work out for you.
And Tanya all the best to you, your gorgeous Isabelle and your hubby. Babyplz I hope you had good news at the specialist and there is another option for you that will work. Take good care all

LOL Isabella knows she's got some growing to do. She sounds like a clever girl and that's what stuffed toys are for, to be chewed on.
I don't think donor eggs are going to be for us, 1st cost, 2nd not my DNA then, 3rd my eggs aren't that bad, it seems everything else inside me is though Dr Morrow is doing some research apparently and I'll see her in 2 weeks to see if she found anything. We'll keep trying this year, but this is realistically our last year.
    Talk soon
