Hi girls. How is everyone going?

Beatrix sounds like you've got a positive plan in place. i hope you're feeling ok about it all.

Wanttobe, any news on your scan?

As for me, AF arrived 4 weeks after my d&c on the dot (unusual for me) so I hope that's a good sign!

Hi All, How's things? Just did a bit of an updated roll call and it's good to see some of old group have moved into the graduates section and hopefully others will be there soon.

Sorry to hear all the bad stories, let's hope we can now make some positive ones!

AFM: I went and saw second specialist (Lynn Burmeister) a few weeks ago.
Not sure if I was happy with the outcome of the meeting, she was willing to try a couple of other things, but I still came away confused.
I then spent a bit of time trying to get in contact with current specialist (Gareth Weston) and finally got an appointment through my nurse. Those receptionists are difficult to navigate sometimes.
I'm not sure what my nurse said, or what happended, but I had the best meeting with GW that I have ever had and now am feeling quite positive about my next cycle (that would be number 5 full stim, one FET - for two positives with early miscarriages).
We are now on our slightly different track and I will rattle when I walk. Here's what I am on:
    Vitamin E (1000)
    Elevit
    Melatonin (4mg)
    Levlan
    Then I will take:
    Synarel
    Gonal F 375
    Pregnyl 50
    Prednisolone
    Pregnyl Trigger
    After EPU:
    Clexane
    Crinone
    Progesterone
    Pregnyl Booster x 4
Stop Prednisolone a week after transfer

I think that is it - plus they are adding some calcium thing to the process and it will be a day 3 transfer as my embryos seem to really drop off in the lab after day 3. We will be doing a long down reg, ICSI with testicular aspiration as DH has had a vasectomy. EPU is planned for week beginning July 8. I will also have a lining scratch prior to injections.
I guess if this concoction doesn't work, I then have Lynn's protocol as a back up.
    Her suggestions was
Antagonist cycle with gonal f and menopur, prednisolone, clexane, progesterone, crinone and pregnyl trigger.

I also wanted to add that I have been seeing a Holistic Chiropractor who has been 'adjusting' my internal organs and doing some hormonal balancing. As much as he completely spins me out, I have felt this has really helped. Apparently he has had a lot of success with infertility.

    Happy baby making everyone.

Appy, great job on the role call!!wow what a mixture of drugs your on.. Your a brave girl!!

Quick question,I've been having a little laser work on my face for hereditary broken capillaries I've had most of my life, and small laser on my chin for unruly hair growth ( which I blame on mixed hormones from ivf), now I have my next appoint next week, is it safe to do before opu june?? The beautician said should be fine, and the nurse said cant see any issues from it, but I'm wondering if will be ok,or should I cancel and have whiskers and red skin for ever??!

    hey all,

appy that is a good cocktail- i hope that you get your result from it
mrs missy im not sure about your laser treatment im sure like they say it will have no effect, but personally i am extremely cautious and didnt do anything like drink, dye my hair, use chemicals in house or on myself for 3 months before my epu- your call on that one in the end!

afm, i will have to move myself on the roll call possibly....
as bad news my end im afraid, i had my 7 week scan on weds and they couldnt find a heartbeat and bub is measuring up small- 5-6 weeks :-( all is not quite lost as there is a small chance that it was a late implant and it was too early for them to see the heartbeat. going back on weds to find out for sure either way. needless to say its been very challenging and hubbie is away (and for another 3 weeks) which sucks. weve decided to fly my MIL over from SA for support and in case I have lost little one I want the D & C asap so I will need some help (as we have a 3yo girl). i thought the TWW was hard enough but this is challenging me atm!!!!! was feeling positive about it as im still having ms and sore boobs, and my hormones are still going up, but ive been reading about silent miscarriages (should stay away from google i know but i cant help it) and apprently you can loose the bub and your body doesnt realise and so you are still having symptoms, so now im starting to doubt my intuition. im doing ok, just trying not to think about it but thats hard of course.

anyway hope you all have a good weekend this weekend and distract yourself with your mum or avoid the whole thing altogether- i know it can be challenging on mothers day, so thinking of you all

Appy thanks for roll call, and good on you for trying different things for your next go.

Missy, I get laser too and I lean towards it not being a problem. We just adopted a kitten and it feels so nice to have a fur baby too!

Wanttobe, I hope the next scan is a positive one, I'm thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed.

Hope everyone is having a good day today.
I'm struggling. We got our first bfn on Mother's Day last year and at times I feel like it was the beginning of the end. Still don't feel closer to our goal. Hopefully the next cycle will be better
