Default Anyone starting IVF cycle in November/December 2012?

Thanks Appy, my levels were coming through above average, had a bleed no different to the bleed I had 2 weeks earlier so wasn't too stressed at the time, thought I'd get more bloods done and specialist pushed my ultrasound earlier to that day, he just couldn't find anything then during my appt the bloods came through, showed me they were at 55. I was devastated Australia post today delivered me the book "what to expect when your expecting" cause my health insurance sent it to me when I enquired about hospitals and cover last week another painful experience, trying to keep happy and DP is taking me to Ocean Grove for a few nights in 2 weeks for a short break. The best of luck to you too Appy, I know exactly how your feeling

Rainbow, that sucks. I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I hope you get to do a few nice things for yourself on your little break away.

afm- I'm in this weird place of feeling like I want to be hopeful about future cycles, but I can't manufacture any hopeful feelings at this point. I'm also a little disappointed in my close friends who can ask me how I'm doing, but then in the same breath go on about babies and their kids. I guess I feel like I want to come out from behind my armor and not have to put on a brave face anymore. Then I get guilt about not being positive, thinking that it will impact my chances somehow. What to do! *end of rant*

Rainbow, I miscarried couple of days before Christmas, and got results Christmas Eve!! Was not the Chrisy we where hoping for, but to keep my spirits up, I chant at least it worked... At least it worked... 7 weeks was a short lived pregnancy !!! I haven't really had a chance to stop and think about it, I pushed myself into taking extra shifts and working over Christmas break... It will all catch up with me on holidays I'm sure.. However again over booked loads of trips and places to visit, keeping busy helps me move on... Full stim on return..

Rainbow - so sorry to hear that. We had a lot of devastating outcomes on this thread we're due some good luck. Look after yourself.

Beatrix - I hear you girl! Struggling also to find that positivity. And people think fertility issues is an obstacle like any other. Like relationship problems or changing jobs! They have no understanding how deeply personal and impacting it is and how it will determine our futures. They just think its all a matter of time and brush over it. But I'm sure you'll find that excitement for starting again.

MrsMissy - great coping strategies. Even if it does hit you while you're away it's helped you get through the Xmas period.

Talking about fertility issues with my family always ends up messy... My mums thoughts are "we have to get down and do the deed more", and then I'll become pregnant... Omg if we did IT any more ill go blind... People simply do not understand how difficult and emotional it is to be infertile!! Now I laugh it off and agree!!! It's amazing how many people have many opinions and hints to help me get pregnant... Oh the best one was to drink dessert wine!!

Has anyone else got tips n hints from people?? Like doing a hand stand singing god save the queen??

Hi Ladies - haven't checked in for a while, my thoughts to all those with the devastating news of loss - I have been there a couple of times and feel your pain . I agree the Jan/Feb thread is so busy, I posted once but in the wait for AF so much goes on that I don't really feel part of it so may drop-off. Mrs Missy love your story it makes me laugh how some people don't get it - I have no tubes left now and a friend who knows that said to me don't give up keep trying you never know if you just relax and forget about it, it might just happen naturally - WTF? I had to explain the process of eggs getting to uterus without tubes an impossibility and she has three kids! Best of wishes to you all xxxooo.

Rainbow, I am so sorry to read about your loss. I know your pain. My DP fell pregnant last October and everything was going fine then at the scan (6 weeks 1 day) our FS couldnt see anything, then at the last sec saw a very flat sac. 3 weeks later the miscarriage officially happened. It was so hard seeing my DP going through that.
((hugs)) to both you and your DP.
We did a FET in December and xmas eve we had a negative BT

Now just having a break and save some more money for a new cycle

((hugs)) to all going through a rough patch
