    Default AMH levels....

im not quite sure where I should be posting this but I am hoping there are ladies in here who have had the AMH test done and can help me with results?

I had my test done about 3 weeks ago and called today to see how everything is, we cant have an appointment to see the FS to discuss results until DH's results come back in about 3 weeks time. The nurse did tell me that all my bloods were normal, thyroid is normal and my AMH is 36 which she said is a bit high, it should be between 14-30 but not to be to worried because anything less then 14 would be more of an issue (I have early menopause in my family)

So now I am googling try to work out if 36 is bad or not, the information I am finding is differing quite a lot, some websites are saying that up to 40 is considered normal, others are saying that over 35 is a sure way to tell if you have PCOS (been tested for this several times in the past, never has it come up as an issue, and irregular periods are my only symptom) so I am hoping that someone here has had simillar results and has gone on to becomse pregnant? We will be starting IVF in the new year so I also want to know if it will go against me or help.

    Thanks

I'd be super dooper with an AMH of 36!! I had mine tested a few months back and it came back at 4.5

Luckily though, I had just found out I was pregnant after clomid cycle number 2 on the day I got my AMH results so it wasn't such a blow but it does worry me for the future. Apparently it's more about the quality of your eggs and not so much the quantity that you have.

Do you know what the quality of your eggs are like?

Hi I just recently got my AMH results back and got told it was off the chart at first they didnt want to say but said between 7 - 14 was normal even a littler higher was okay but once you hit the 35 mark and over that was going to be needed to be managed. On more questioning was told that i had over 40 which was the highest this doctor had seen and meant a risk of multiple births and miscarriage rate higher. He said we need to play with the dosage of Clomid does anyone know what the regular dosage is? Im yet to start my clomid but should be in a few days so will see how it goes but I love my FS he is very good and goes thru it all with you. He eventually told me what my AMH was and he said was off the chart at 48 so i said i really dont want to be Octo mum as he has told us there would most likely be as many as 4 - 12 eggs come out with the clomid but cant tell till they mature and do scans to see and everyone is different so here we go.

Wishing every one blessings with their journey

    Default AMH levels....

    Hi

My amh was 45. I did rounds of low dose clomid (25mg/day I think) before moving on to ivf. They will manage your stim cycles carefully so you don't over stimulate. With higher amh there is a higher risk of ohss so they generally put you on a low dose of fsh (I was in 150 iu gonal F and it worked perfectly. ) Good luck x

Edit- I did 3 stim cycles and got 14, 16 and 13 eggs on each so nothing too crazy. They monitor you so closely during a cycle and can tweak your meds as necessary.

Hi, My AMH level was 45 and the specialist said she'd only seen one other so high. I've done one round of clomid and the 25mg didn't work at all, then the 50mg only gave me 2 follicles so nothing extreme. I start again on 50mg next week. So don't worry too much about it being high. They have just watched me very closely and told me that whenever i'm on clomid or move onto injectables DH and I can't do any BD until they give us the all clear that I have no chance of being an octo mum! You can tell pretty quickly after a few ultrasounds though.

    Default AMH levels....

I too have AMH issues on the very high side. The reason you're finding it difficult to find out what your results mean is that there are two different scales for measuring AMH.
This link has a table that compares them, sorry I tried to copy and paste but it's a bit of a crappy page but it has the numbers so you can see what I mean.
    http://www.babymed.com/fertility-tes...an-hormone-amh

My AMH is 198 pmol/l which is insanely high (ETA - i googled and found a conversion calc so on the other scale my level is about 27/28 - 198 x 140 / 1000 = 27.?) can cause just as many albeit different issues to low amh. I've now managed to get a BFP after 7 assisted OI cycles. All the best

OP going back to your original question it looks like your result has been given as pmol/L and your level of 36 is fine and within normal range?
