Default Wrap-me-ups once bub is rolling?

Is it unsafe to keep wrapping bub once they're rolling over? DS is 3 months and so close to rolling over, yet still has a strong startle reflex. I'm using wrap-me-ups and he loves them but am thinking I probably need to stop once he's rolling. What is the recommendation?

I think you're meant to stop swaddling. Make the transition to a sleep bag slowly. One arm out, one swaddled for a couple of weeks. Then both arms out but legs swaddle. If they roll on to their front whilst swaddled they can't use their arms to push their face off the mattress.

Someone said there is a special sleep bag that sort of restricts their arms if bubs still has a startle reflex but I can't remember what it's called.

I had my first dd in wrap me ups until 6 months. She would roll over in them, but because her arms were up near her face in them she was able to lift her head if she wanted to. Dd2 is 3 months and rolling and she is still wearing the wrap me ups.

Wrap me Ups are awesome, but yes the 'recommendation' is to not wrap or swaddle once rolling.

I purchased this really cheap wedge looking thing from BigW or Target I think...it basically has a little wedge on either side of a piece of material, that keeps baby still in one place. Maybe try that if the reflex is still strong?

Great for the pram when they are asleep too so they don't roll all over while walking up and down gutters!!
