Thank you, so nervous, this will be our one and only epu. Given the cost of surrogacy another epu is not possible. Sorry for all the questions, I'm a worry wart
I've got my EPU in the morning! So excited/scared/nervous!
You ladies have all been a great help in mentally preparing me and not focusing on numbers!
Morning girls, hope everyone's doing well I've been up since 5 as hubby had to go to work and had to give me a shot of ovidrel before hand. Still in a fair bit of pain after EPU weds. Especially on my right side, it hurts a bit to peel is it normal to still be in pain two days after? Just dosnt seem to be any better.
I don't remember being in much pain 2 days later - I remember it like period pain? Call your nurse today & ask...
PS: I laughed reading you were up from 5 because hubby had to inject you - we do the same as he leaves super early for work
We did something similar - cant remember what drug but was used as trigger and then again a few days later. I didn't ask at the time but am currently doing FET and have been put on progesterone pessaries and was asking why as didn't have last time. They said the "second trigger" shot was what they gave for progesterone support on fresh cycles and pessaries if what they use for frozen cycles.
So my guess is progesterone support.
Re the pain: you may have mild OHSS. I had this with my fresh cycle and had pain for quiet a long time (I got BFP which makes OHSS worse so lasted 7 weeks in total - but totally worth it!!). Drink loads of water - like 3-4 litres a day as that is the best thing you can do. My OHSS was mild so no other treatment. Do ring your clinic though - that's what they are there for.
