I definitely want that! I don't want to know what's going on at all. Offering cakes that's hilarious!!!

DH just did my trigger shot!'n I iced it for ten mins so I didn't even feel the needle though gosh whatever is in that ovidrel stings !!!!!cant believe I'm so close to EPU. What will I experience with the trigger shot? I know it's mean to make you ovulate but did you girls get any pain or anything ? I'm back to work for the day tomorrow then off for EPU weds. Will have to remember to take panadeine to work just in case.

In fact if you read up you will see that I was offering everyone cakes during my EPU and thanking them for being at my home haha. Most people have a nap or don't say much at all.

I did ask to be put to sleep so will be interested what I get. I definitely don't want to be awake at all.

I don't want to scare anyone but I am a chicken and should have listened to my instincts and done the general - although it sounds like I am the exception to the rule.

Clucky, the first time I had the ovidrel, I had awful nausea and an ovidrel headache for a day.

Second and third time I didn't notice much but I triggered at night so slept through most of it I guess!

Clucky I have had 3 awake EPUs
With Sydney Ivf - they use alfentanyl
    Iv which is an analgesic
Opioid - but the pain relief was not great and I hated every minute of it and was in horrible pain afterwards with pain shooting down the hacks of legs as well as bad cramps and it hurt to walk for 24hrs.
Then I have had 3 asleep EPUs with Ivf Australia - they use propofol and midazolam. And I wake up with very mild cramping only and feel great !
I would go for the general every time
AFM today is 9dp5dt and my hpt was again negative not a good sign. BT Wednesday and I will do a hpt each morning until BT as I find it helps me prepare mentally for the BT result.

Hi ladies, I joined this thread back when it started but my cycle won't be until April/May now I've followed the thread though.

There is also EPU with 'light' sedation.

I had one with gas, 2 Panadeine and 2 Diazepam. Most pain I've been in in my life, I bawled the entire 10 minutes!!

My second I had gas, 2 Panadeine, 2 Diazepam and 2 Endone. Virtually pain free and was up walking right away.

I wish you all the very best on your hopefully short journeys. Good luck!

Jilapril congrats on the number! Great result

Bindy awesome news for you too fingers crossed!!

I really thought I would only need 1 day off work for epu, sounds like I may need to prepare for two when it happens.
